The relatively short stretch of Deerfield Beach has no less than 9 towers. Each has a trained and equipped life guard from 9 in the morning to 5 in the evening throughout the year. The guards keep a close watch of swimmers and surfers, and are trained in CPR. These guards are in radio contact with the Sheriff’s Office and with the city’s fire rescue as well.
